FARIZON's innovative 1000-15000 ton alcohol hydrogen electric ship power system provides a zero carbon and efficient propulsion solution for inland and offshore transportation through the flexible configuration of modular 280kW alcohol hydrogen motors and intelligent battery packs. The system adopts a 750V DC/380V AC dual bus architecture, with a single alcohol hydrogen motor unit capable of outputting 280kW continuous power. Through the parallel combination of 2-7 units, it achieves a power coverage of 78.4kW-15.12MW, perfectly matching the different needs from thousand ton bulk carriers to ten thousand ton container ships.
At the core technology level, this solution integrates alcohol hydrogen reforming for hydrogen production and PEM Fuel cell technology, with an energy conversion efficiency of 52%, a 100% reduction in emissions compared to traditional diesel power, and no sulfur oxide emissions. The intelligent energy management system optimizes the real-time collaboration between alcohol hydrogen fuel and lithium batteries, and can automatically switch to pure electric mode when ships dock, achieving zero noise and zero emissions in port operations. The compact power compartment design controls the volume of a single 280kW unit within 2.3m ³, saving 40% space compared to diesel units of the same class, making it particularly suitable for regional container ships that are sensitive to cargo space.
FARIZON engines offer three standardized configurations based on the characteristics of different ship types: ships of 1000-3000 tons use 4-8 motors and 1.2MWh battery packs to meet 8-hour continuous navigation; 5000-8000 ton configuration with 12-20 motors and 3.5MWh batteries, supporting inland waterway transportation such as the Yangtze River Golden Waterway; Ships of over 10000 tons are equipped with more than 30 sets of electric motors and a 6MWh energy storage system, with a range of up to 1200 nautical miles. The system has been certified by China Classification Society (CCS) and is equipped with a ship's Methanol refueling solution, laying out a green fuel supply network in major ports around the world.
With the implementation of the IMO 2030 carbon emission regulations, the FARIZON engine's alcohol hydrogen electric system is becoming an ideal choice for shipowners to comply with environmental regulations due to its "add and go" fuel convenience and a full lifecycle cost lower than 30% of Diesel Engines. This technology is particularly suitable for short distance shipping scenarios, and has been applied on a large scale in green shipping demonstration zones such as the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta, with an annual CO2 reduction of up to 8000 tons per ship. In the future, FARIZON engines will continue to promote the low-carbon transformation of the global shipping industry through the construction of a Clean energy ecosystem that integrates ships, ports, and fuels.
